Facades recede

Warmth exposed
We become a team
Feeling some like family
Then the end approaches
The moment is gone
Facades return
We are back home.

Journeys carried in the mind’s eye,
Shared with others fresh and past.
Seeking out a common ground,
Of travels old and new.

Refreshing sights of things not seen,
Carried by a camera’s screen.
Watching for an insight borne,
From dust and light and trails well worn.

We are travelers. Sojourners.
Sharing insights gleaned.
Living life in fast lanes, time demands reborn.
Watching ways to share with you.

Wafting scents
Unlock the mind
That speaks of journeys past

Reminding
Recalling
Travels I have done

Anticipation
Often troubles
And then complete

Was I there?
Or was it seems
Just a dream

The memories are sweet
And now they teach
The wonders of the world

How can a smell
Recall so well
The memories of my mind?

It is baffling to me
How God can see
The treasures I have stored

Then these thoughts realized
By senses deep
Hidden beyond my sight
