Santa Fe Travel Diary Buildings of Santa Fe
When I think about Santa Fe, I think about three things: 7,000 feet altitude, majestic mountains and their brown adobe buildings. The buildings are every shade of brown you can imagine. We reveled in the ambiance of their uniqueness. We enjoyed the multihued brown colors.
During our Santa Fe visit we stayed at a Quality Inn Hotel. It was inexpensive, comfortable and even though required by code met the image of Santa Fe. It certainly matched the world class and historic La Fonda on the Old Santa Fe Trail. Not far from the La Fonda is the Original Trading Post of Santa Fe. It fits in as a Santa Fe building only because it is the original.
The Saint Frances Cathedral majestically anchors the eastern side of downtown. The Post Office calmly controls the northern side of downtown. Both of these beautiful and historic buildings lend an air of importance and history to Santa Fe.
Santa Fes buildings are really beautiful but they are passing away. The people that work, play and live in the buildings of Santa Fe are eternal. Based upon individual choice, each person will decide whether they will belong to the Lord or be eternally separated from Him. As Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." We loved our brief time in Santa Fe. Checkout our travel diaries at www.virtualtravels.com. Send me a note about one of your interesting travel experiences.
