Israel Diary Jericho
Jericho is one of the world's oldest cities. It may be the oldest city in the world. Civilizations have been discovered here that date back more than 9,000 years. Jericho is 22 miles east of Jerusalem. The journey "up to Jerusalem" is a very steep climb through the Judean Wilderness.
